Root Canals

A root canal is a procedure to save a tooth that has been damaged by an accident, cavity or gum disease, exposing the dental pulp inside of the tooth to germs. When the dental pulp comes in contact with germs it can decay quickly. Instead of extraction, a root canal allows you to keep your tooth.

Our cost-effective and precise root canal procedures are ideal for patients experiencing discomfort from gum disease, extensive decay, or tooth trauma.
You may have decaying dental pulp if you experience any of the following:

  • Swelling in the jaw or gums
  • Pain in the head, neck or ears
  • Teeth discolouration
  • Extra sensitivity to hot and cold food or liquids

If you experience any of these signs, please contact our office. When detected early, we can act quickly to save the tooth with appropriate root canal therapy. To check to see if an infection is present, we’ll do an x-ray of the suspected tooth.

Root canal treatment is very effective. The treated teeth can last a lifetime after the procedure.
